Monika Hirsch was working as associate and attorney-at-law in major international law firms with focus on commercial law in Vienna. In 2005 she went to Romania on her own where she took over a position as partner in an international consulting company. Already 2006 she founded her own law firm with 5 employees which was extended to 12 employees in the following years. Due to the economic situation and her personal life the structure of the law firm was changed. Since beginning of 2012 Monika Hirsch is in a partnership with Mag. Gizella Popescu and Mag. Raluca Marinescu – the SCPA Hirsch Popescu Marinescu law firm – with the unchanged headquarters in Casa Austria.
Raluca Marinescu is a qualified lawyer with over thirteen years of experience in law, practicing and advising clients in areas such as energy, environmental, commercial, as well as representing clients in various disputes arising in the conduct of business. Raluca has worked in cooperation with local and international law firms, where she focused on projects related to renewable energy, commercial law and construction law.
In 2008, Raluca Marinescu joined the Bucharest branch of Niederhuber Hager Hirsch (NH) Law Office, first as a paralegal and then as a junior associate, after registration with the Romanian Bar Association, in the same year, 2008. As an expert in the energy field, she wrote several articles, following the process of legislative development, for the Romanian and EU energy market.
Since 2011, we have developed a good cooperation with the Austrian Economics Chambers in Romania (Wirshaftskammer Oesterreicht) and the British Embassy in Romania. Since 2012, in the new registered SCP Hirsch Popescu Marinescu SCA the partnership was established between Monika Hirsch, Gizella Popescu and Raluca Marinescu.
Georgiana Bălan (formerly Lazăr) is a Senior Associate at SCPA “Hirsch Marinescu & Asociații”. Since joining our Law Firm in 2012, Georgiana was involved with big enthusiasm and interest in various projects such as constitution and transfer of companies, debts collection as well as in insolvency procedure.
She is fluent in Romanian and English.
Lavinia started working with SCPA Hirsch Marinescu and Associates in 2019, when she was still a student at the Faculty of International Relations and Administration. Lavinia came with a good sense of organization that helped in making arrangements for the optimal running of SCPA’s business, even during the pandemic period managing to keep the back-office activity at the highest levels.
